Temporary Campus Access Restrictions During Construction

Dear Staff and Community Members,
Please be advised that our school campus is currently undergoing construction activities that require
certain areas to be temporarily restricted for safety reasons. Restricted areas are clearly marked with
construction fencing and signage indicating the affected locations and the duration of restricted access.
Entry to these areas is not permitted without prior authorization from the Maintenance & Operations
Department.
As part of the demolition process, asbestos-containing and lead-containing materials must be safely
removed by a licensed abatement contractor. To ensure that all work is performed in full compliance
with regulatory requirements and with the highest safety standards, Fairfax School District has engaged
an independent third-party environmental consulting firm to oversee the abatement activities and to
conduct perimeter air monitoring throughout the project. This oversight helps protect the health and
safety of our staff, students, and visitors, and ensures any necessary corrective actions are taken
promptly.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we complete this important phase of
construction. If immediate access to a restricted area is required, please contact Ms Irma Chavez,
Director of Maintenance and Operations at (661)-366-7221 for assistance.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and support as we work to
enhance and improve our learning environment.
Sincerely,
David Mack Ed.D
Chief Administrator of Business
